Mr. Baldwin has worked for the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He counsels both start-up and growing businesses for over 21 years.

Tom Tanner
Professional Business Counselor
Mr. Tanner graduated with a degree in Economics and Finance from Virginia Military Institute. After a tour of duty in the U.S. Army he returned to civilian life to work as a store manager for a large corporation. He then opened his own photographic and computer graphics business. After 23 years, he recently sold the graphics business and is now a full-time counselor with the Roanoke Regional Small Business Development Center. Tanner has extensive knowledge in running a small business. His knowledge spans across several areas including multiple store operation, accounting, finance, marketing, business plan writing, and computer software.

Taryn Anderson
Marketing and Program Coordinator
Ms. Anderson graduated from Radford University with a degree in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. She is a member of the Small Business Development Center's Marketing Advisory Board. Anderson is also the current president for Ad 2 Roanoke, an American Advertising Federation club for young creative professionals.
