Movies in the Park presented by Jefferson College of Health Sciences and Member One Federal Credit Union. FREE, outdoor, family-oriented movies showing the second Friday of each month, May - October, in Elmwood Park, downtown Roanoke. Featuring a giant 15' x 20' screen and surround sound. Seating begins at 6 p.m., movie begins at dark. May 14 – Princess and the Frog; June 11 –Love Happens; July 9 – Star Trek…The Future Begins; August 13 – Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs; September 10 – The Blind Side; October 8 – New Moon; Twilight Saga. Parking is free, too, in the Elmwood Park Garage. Sponsored by Downtown Roanoke Inc., WSLQ-99 FM, WDBJ Television, and the City of Roanoke Parks and Recreation. Concessions on site.
